Maharashtra becomes the first state in India to introduce a dedicated Shipbuilding, Ship Repair, and Ship Recycling Policy. The policy offers capital subsidies, infrastructure support, and long-term land leases of up to 30 years. It also includes targeted financial incentives, such as:
- A 15% capital subsidy on eligible project costs
- Funding support of up to ₹5 crore per project for research and development
- Up to ₹1 crore for skill development and training programs
